Careers in the Classroom
Careers in the Classroom will transport experts into classrooms, giving pupils the chance to listen to and question everyone from mechanics to aerospace engineers and ask questions about the journey that took them there.
Curriculum Enrichment is available as either an after school club or lesson enrichment during the school day for those pupils who want to know more and look deeper into a possible career or develop their cultural capital through connecting with experts in a variety of fields.
Highlight Speakers will bring some famous names into classrooms and give pupils the chance to hear from, and put their questions to, a spectacular line-up from the worlds of business, academia and adventure including our patron, Professor Lord Robert Winston.
Midweek Maths aims to offer some stretch and challenge to pupils and to encourage conversations about Mathematics between capable young people and their parents who are invited to attend these events together.
The series of 5 sessions is offered free of charge by ExpertEdLive and will be hosted by an experienced Lead Maths Teacher.
Each event includes:
- intriguing problems that encourage mathematical thinking
- discussion of different approaches and solutions
- mathematical guests and input from the audience at home
- submission of your own mathematical questions to be answered by our expert guests
- a takeaway question to attempt at home
